🍎 SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION! 🚌

As students across Oklahoma head back to the classroom, Duit Holdings, Inc. wants to remind everyone to slow down, stay alert, and help keep our kids safe.

🚸 Slow down in school zones and obey posted speed limits.
🚌 Watch for school buses and be prepared for frequent stops.
🛑 Never pass a school bus with its stop sign extended and red lights flashing.
👀 Stay vigilant for children crossing streets, walking along roads, or getting on and off buses.
📵 Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.

Just like in a work zone, every sign, every signal, and every slowdown is there for a reason.

Our crews know the importance of safety on Oklahoma’s roads. With school back in session, we’re asking everyone to do their part to make sure students, parents, teachers, bus drivers, and fellow motorists make it home safely.

Our Transportation team, together with the Arkansas Department of Transportation and Duit Construction Company, was honored to win an Excellence in Concrete Pavement Award for a 2.8 mile overlay project we designed on Highways 64, 253, and 271 South of I-540 in Fort Smith. The project was only ARDOT’s second bonded concrete overlay. While most overlay projects are asphalt, this project used a bonded concrete overlay design to form a single composite pavement structure built for a 20-year service life. This $6.8 million project was delivered under budget by Duit on a fixed completion date with zero full closures, maintaining traffic flow and access to driveways and multiple businesses throughout construction.

Everyone deserves to go home at the end of the day. Please do your part to protect our people!!

It just takes one speeding, impaired, or distracted driver to turn a work zone into a crime scene. Officials said Wednesday that people high-tailing it through job sites continues to be a recurring problem that they want to see stopped, and a new push at the Capitol seeks to prevent the deadly crashes.
