BENEFITS from watering in the early morning…. (1) it allows them to absorb the water before the heat of the day, reducing evaporation & potential for fugal diseases. (2) the cooler morning temperatures also mean less water is lost to evaporation compared to watering during the heat of the day.
MORE reasons to water early morning;
When the sun is at its strongest, a significant amount of water can evaporate from the soil and foliage before the plant can absorb it. Watering in the morning, minimize this loss, allowing the plant to utilize the water more efficiently, and also provides plants with the water in the morning being insured, they have adequate hydration to endure the heat of the day And also the sunlight. Cooler temperatures in the morning means the soil is less likely to dry out quickly, allowing the plants roots more time to absorb the water. Watering during the hottest part of the day can shock the plant system and cause further stress & cause death of the plant. (AS PICTURED BELOW!)
