Basic Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 5+ years of experience with electrical systems
• 2+ years of electrical proficiency relating to electrical systems and components is required.
• 2+ years of Renewable energy experience is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Electrical Journeyman/ Master license
• Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) equipment.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) of equipment as an authorized person and under properly performed LOTO conditions.
• Conduct daily safety and task planning discussions including pre-task planning, Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
• Interact with vendors and customers in a professional manner.
• Act as a team member to support site work which could include supervising field work onsite focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ability to test, calibrate, diagnose, and repair devices such as Electrical Panels, Disconnects, Battery Energy Storage Systems.
• Ability to use a variety of electrician’s hand tools as well as measuring and testing instruments (Multimeter, Insulation Tester, Ground Resistance Tester)
• Demonstrable knowledge and/or understanding of codes, rules, regulations and standards of electrical equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and reports
• Ability to fill out JSA, Provide detailed reports with test results
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Schedule varies depending on site operational needs and flexibility required regarding frequent overtime/weekend support
• Ability to perform job duties that require standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting upper body, working in cramped positions in small opening and climbing hand over hand, lifting up to 25 lbs., and working on ladders/lifts at elevated heights
• Ability to work in an environment requiring FR Clothing, 40 Cal Arc Flash Suit, exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
• Electrical certifications are preferred such as OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA70E.
