1 st pic is of a tree stump that was not planted correctly. They failed to remove the twine that was around the base of the tree holding the root ball together at the nursery. You can see some of the black twine. We removed it last year.

2nd pic is of the tree we planted in it’s place today. It wasn’t fun digging out the old metal basket.
