🏗️ DEWITT PROJECT | PROGRESS UPDATE

We kicked off another week yesterday by continuing to make steady progress on the soffit and fascia installation.

We worked our way through more of the remaining rooflines today, installing the finished soffit and fascia and continuing to bring together all of the details that were created when we extended the original 6-inch overhangs out to 12 inches.

At this point, we’re nearing the finish line on the soffit and fascia phase, and today we expect to make another big push toward completion.

🪟 NEXT UP — WINDOW REPLACEMENT

Today also marks the beginning of another major phase. We’ll start removing the remaining existing windows and replacing them with the new windows, working our way around the home while finishing the remaining soffit and fascia.

We’re reaching an exciting point in this project. The major framing, roofing, and preparation work has laid the foundation, and now the exterior finish components are beginning to come together one after another.

Once the soffit, fascia, and windows are wrapped up, we’ll be positioned to continue into Versetta Stone, siding accessories, insulation, v***r barrier, and drywall.

Stay tuned—September is going to bring a lot of visible transformation to this project! 🔨🏠

🏗️ DEWITT PROJECT | PROGRESS UPDATE

We wrapped up another productive week today with a great amount of soffit and fascia installed, and the exterior transformation is really beginning to show!

After today’s progress, we’re estimating approximately 2 to 2½ more working days of soffit and fascia installation before that phase is completely wrapped up.

Next week is shaping up to be another big transition point for the project. We’ll be working through the remaining soffit and fascia while beginning the replacement window installation. Our goal is to have those exterior phases substantially completed by Friday so we can begin shifting our attention to the next stages of the renovation.

🔨 Coming Up Next

Once we finish these remaining exterior details, we’ll begin transitioning into:

* Remaining window installation
* Completion of soffit and fascia
* Interior insulation and v***r barrier
* Drywall installation
* Versetta Stone installation
* Vinyl siding accessory and trim installation
* Final preparation for the new siding system

We’re reaching that point in the project where weeks of structural work, roofing, rough-ins, and preparation are setting us up for the finish materials to start going on—and the transformation should begin happening much faster.

From the new addition and covered porch to the roofing, windows, doors, soffit, fascia, stone, and siding, all of these individual pieces are getting closer to coming together as one finished home.

Stay tuned—things are about to start progressing quickly as we move deeper into the finish phases! 🔨🏠

🏗️ DEWITT PROJECT | PROGRESS UPDATE

Yesterday was one of those days that started long before we ever arrived at the jobsite.

The alarm went off at 4:00 AM, and by 5:00 AM I was at Menards loading the remaining drywall needed for the project, along with additional materials and miscellaneous shop supplies to keep everything moving.

From there, I made a stop at ABC Supply for a few additional items before heading toward Stetsonville. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to squeeze in a quick stop to see the kiddos before continuing on to the project.

Once on site, it was time to shift gears. We unhooked and staged the Equipter, met with the plumber and electrician, organized the jobsite, unloaded materials, and loaded up miscellaneous debris and items that needed to be cleared out. Dad was already there helping get things rolling so we could make the most of the day.

By approximately 11:00 AM, all of the running, deliveries, staging, and coordination were behind us and we were able to turn our full attention to the soffit installation.

And we made a great start!

With the accessories already in place from yesterday, we began installing the finished soffit and started working our way around the exterior. Today, we’re looking forward to putting up a significant amount of soffit and fascia.

Not every productive construction day is eight straight hours with a hammer in your hand. Sometimes it’s a 4:00 AM start, material runs, coordinating trades, deliveries, staging equipment, cleaning the site, and then getting to work. All of those pieces are what keep a project of this size moving forward.

After a long and productive day, we headed home—but the day wasn’t quite over yet. Last night, after wrapping up the day’s work, our new Equipter arrived via truck carrier!

This is another exciting investment in the continued growth of MS R&I Construction. Adding a second Equipter to our equipment lineup will help us improve jobsite efficiency, debris management, material handling, and overall productivity on future projects.

From a 4:00 AM start, material runs, trade coordination, and soffit installation to ending the evening with the arrival of a new piece of equipment—it was definitely a full day.

Stay tuned as we continue installing soffit and fascia and moving the DeWitt project forward! 🔨🏠

🏗️ DEWITT PROJECT | PROGRESS UPDATE

Another productive day on the DeWitt Addition & Whole-Home Renovation as we continue transitioning from the major structural phases into the exterior finish work.

Today we officially completed the PVC trim-board wrap on the new covered porch header beam. With the beam completely wrapped, another important piece of the front porch finish work is checked off and the clean, finished lines of the new entrance are beginning to show.

We also reached another major milestone by completing the dry-in and siding preparation across the entire house and garage. With that preparation behind us, the exterior is now ready for the upcoming siding installation as we work our way through the soffit and fascia.

We also began installing the soffit accessories and supporting components needed to start running the finished soffit.

🔨 Tomorrow’s Focus

Tomorrow morning we’ll hit the front of the house and begin installing a substantial amount of the new soffit. Our goal heading into Friday is to have the main front elevation soffit completed, excluding the covered porch area, which will receive its own detailed finish work.

Next week, we’ll continue making our way around the home with soffit and fascia installation, while also beginning the next phase of window replacement Monday and Tuesday.

This is the stage where all of the work completed over the past several weeks—framing, roofing, windows, doors, weatherproofing, and exterior preparation—starts getting covered with the finished materials everyone will actually see.

The transformation is about to become a lot more noticeable.

Stay tuned for more as the different trades and finishes come together and we watch this project come to life! 🔨🏠

Another major milestone has officially been checked off — the entire roofing system is complete! 🏠

After weeks of demolition, framing, roof tie-ins, sheathing, dry-in, and shingle installation across the existing home, new addition, covered porch, dormers, and garage/shop, it feels great to bring the roofing phase across the finish line.

With the roof complete, we’ve officially started transitioning into the exterior trim and finish phase.

Over the last two days, we began installing the white PVC trim-board wrap around the new covered porch header beam. We’ll finish those details tomorrow before moving directly into the new soffit and fascia installation.

We’ve also continued working through the remaining siding preparation around the home. After tomorrow, the siding prep should be complete, leaving the house ready for its new exterior once the soffit and fascia installation is finished.

🔨 What’s Next?

Tomorrow we’ll continue with:

* Completing the PVC wrap on the covered porch header beam
* Finishing the remaining siding preparation
* Beginning the new soffit and fascia
* Working our way around each elevation as we prepare for siding installation

This is an exciting transition in the project. The heavy structural work and roofing are behind us, and now we get to start installing the details that will completely change the finished appearance of this home.

Stay tuned for more as we trim this house out and get it ready for its new exterior! 🔨🏠

| ROOFING PROGRESS & GROWING BEHIND THE SCENES

We wrapped up another busy week on the DeWitt Addition & Whole-Home Renovation, and today we brought the roofing system very close to completion.

Our goal had been to have the entire roofing scope completed by the end of today, but construction doesn’t always move in a perfectly straight line. This week involved coordinating several different trades—including plumbing, electrical, garage door installation, and our own framing and roofing work. Getting each area prepared for the next contractor took priority and pushed our roofing schedule back a little further than originally planned.

Even with all those moving pieces, we made substantial progress. The roof is nearly complete, and we’ll be back at it Monday to finish the remaining roofing details and officially bring this major phase of the project across the finish line.

There was also quite a bit happening behind the scenes at MS R&I Construction this week.

While continuing to manage the DeWitt project, we secured financing and completed the purchase of another Equipter and an additional truck. These investments will expand our equipment lineup, improve jobsite efficiency, support the continued growth of our businesses, and serve our family’s needs as well.

A lot of the financing and purchasing process was handled right from the jobsite over the phone—with some much-appreciated help from my wife. Balancing business growth with an active project made for an exceptionally busy week, but we’re excited about what these additions will allow us to accomplish moving forward.

🔨 Coming Monday

We’ll hit the ground running by completing the remaining roofing system and then transitioning into the next stage of exterior finish work, beginning with the white PVC wraps on the new covered porch.

After weeks of structural work, demolition, framing, roofing, and coordinating multiple trades, we’re getting closer to the point where the finished exterior transformation will really start revealing itself.

Stay tuned—there’s plenty more progress, and a little business growth, coming your way!

🚀 BUSINESS GROWTH | INVESTING IN THE NEXT CHAPTER

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at MS R&I Construction, and we’re excited to share another step forward in the continued growth of our businesses.

This week, we successfully secured financing for an additional Equipter and another truck, two investments that will help us increase efficiency, improve jobsite logistics, and expand our ability to serve our customers as we continue to grow.

Adding another Equipter to our equipment lineup will allow us to better manage multiple projects, streamline demolition and cleanup, and keep our jobsites cleaner and more organized throughout construction.

The additional truck will serve multiple purposes, supporting the needs of both of our businesses while also providing the flexibility we need for our family and personal use.

One of the unique parts of owning and growing a family business is that the work doesn’t stop when you leave the jobsite. Much of this process was handled right from the field—phone calls, paperwork, financing, coordination, and decisions happening between everything else that needed to get done.

And, as always, it was a team effort. I’m especially thankful for my wife and the role she continues to play behind the scenes as we make these decisions and build toward what’s next.

We don’t look at new equipment simply as another purchase. It’s an investment in efficiency, capability, our team, our customers, and the future of our businesses.

We’re grateful for the opportunities that have allowed us to continue growing, and we’re looking forward to putting these additions to work.

More equipment. More capability. More opportunities to serve.

Stay tuned—there’s more to come.

PLUMBING, GARAGE DOORS & ROOFING MILESTONES

Today was another big day on site as multiple phases of the project continued moving toward completion.

Our plumber returned to continue the rough-in work, completing nearly everything required for the new master bathroom remodel. The main plumbing stack is now installed and completed, with only a handful of remaining items needed to finish the plumbing rough-in. Those include installing two exterior hose bibs, relocating the furnace intake and exhaust, and preparing the necessary components for the future mini-split system, which will be installed after the siding is complete.

We also had Ziebells Overhead Garage Door Company on site today. Their crew replaced two overhead garage doors, openers, and all associated hardware, along with installing the new garage door weatherstripping. The finished product looks fantastic — beautiful work, and a big thank-you to their crew for a job well done!

On the exterior, we hit another major milestone by completing the shingle installation across the entire front covered porch and front portion of the home. The transformation across the front elevation is really starting to come together.

We’re now nearing the finish line on the complete roofing system replacement. Tomorrow, we’ll install the remaining ridge ventilation and ridge cap, complete the rear dormer, and finish the remaining 9/12-pitch roof sections that tie the entire roofing system together.

Once the roofing scope is wrapped up, we’ll shift gears Monday and begin another major exterior phase. We’ll be wrapping the front porch beam/header in white PVC, followed by soffit and fascia installation. As each section of soffit and fascia is completed, we’ll continue working our way around the home with the remaining window installation.

Every completed phase is bringing this project another step closer to the finished vision.

🔨 Stay tuned for more as we finish out the roofing system and begin transforming the exterior details!

🚧 Stetsonville Addition & Whole-Home Renovation – Progress Update 🚧

Today was another productive day on site, with several different phases of the project moving forward at the same time.

Our plumber arrived at 8:00 AM and began the plumbing rough-in and main stack work. He spent the day getting organized, laying everything out, and working through the details necessary to keep the plumbing scope moving efficiently. He’ll be back first thing tomorrow morning with plans to complete the remaining rough-in work within the day.

We also received two deliveries from ABC Supply, bringing in several of the finish materials we’ve been waiting for, including our post wraps, textured railings, PVC porch beam wrap, and the first shipment of Versetta Stone. It’s exciting to see these finish materials arriving because we’re getting closer to the point where the exterior transformation really starts coming together.

On the front covered porch, we continued working through the detailed roof framing and tie-in work. Everything is now lined up and tied together, allowing the main front roof face to continue toward completion tomorrow.

We also completed the remaining sub-fascia framing and overhang extensions, tying everything into the existing and new roof systems in preparation for the remaining shingle installation.

Finally, we installed the overhead garage door cladding and framing details, getting both openings prepared for the overhead door company to arrive tomorrow and install the new garage doors.

Over the next two days, our focus is on finishing the remaining roofing scope and beginning the next major exterior phases — soffit, fascia, Versetta Stone, siding, and window installation.

A lot of different pieces are coming together now, and the project is starting to transition from major framing and rough-in work into the exterior finish stages.

🔨 Stay tuned for more as we keep pushing this transformation forward!

🏗️ TODAY’S PROGRESSION UPDATE | BATHROOM FRAMING & ROOFING

Another productive day on the project as we continued making progress both inside and out!

Today we completed the framing for the main-floor bathroom ceiling, along with the necessary blocking for the new shower. We also framed the shower wall that will house the shower valve and fixtures, getting another important area prepared for the upcoming plumbing rough-in.

Outside, we continued working on the sub-fascia framing, extending the original 6-inch roof overhangs to 12 inches. This will give the home a much more substantial, finished appearance while preparing the roofline for the new soffit and fascia.

We also began shingle installation on the new front covered porch roof, bringing another major portion of the roofing system closer to completion.

Tomorrow, we plan to finish the remaining sub-fascia along the main front portion of the home and continue pushing the roofing scope toward the finish line. We anticipate wrapping up the remaining roofing work Thursday morning before transitioning into the next exterior phases: soffit, fascia, and window installation.

Every completed phase is bringing the old and new portions of this home together. 🔨🏠

Stay tuned as we close out the roofing scope and continue transforming the exterior!
