Woodwork is stripped and the first coat is on... The sanding and finishing off the floor and the second coat will start as soon as I can open the windows!

One side is ready for stain and poly .... The other side of the kitchen is ready for the final sanding and a bit more heat gun and dental picking!

The green baseboard will be replaced with an oak baseboard in the same look as the original.

After many many hours, the paint is gone! I still have some spot stripping, but the rest will be heat gun, metals picks and a lot of sanding..

I've found a few "imperfections" as I pulled off the layers of paint... All of which I'm keeping!

I've been able to listen to 3 audible books so far.. so I'm catching up on my reading!

But I'm happy with the progress...

More progress today... Yes, this is what I consider fun!

Nope, I couldn't wait.... So this is about 3 hours of heat gun fun. It's only the first pass, but I'm able to get a lot out of the crevasses with my little dentist tools!

I'll keep going around the kitchen, the wood is beautiful, it's 25 below outside and a perfect day to listen to a book on audio and give my arms a workout! I'll still sand blast in the spring, but this way it will be a light sand blasting...

Hi again! I've been pretty quiet lately with a lot going on personally and new plumbing!! But come spring I've got a few more projects to start and it needs to be spring already so I can start!!

I couldn't help it .... I had to know and I'm so glad I did! This spring the kitchen is getting a makeover with all exposed original wood. No it's around could get here so I can start!!
