It's Unique Donor Day for the GIVE ORCAS campaign... Don't forget to "Give Where You Live"!

We had 356 donors contribute a total of $47,000 - fantastic support for the many programs serving this community. Thank you to Colleen Smith for being a great Flat Ambassador this year. She was a mighty good sport!

Slow and steady wins the race — especially in sea star restoration. Following a devastating loss of sea star life from Alaska to Mexico due to wasting disease in 2013, the population is gently inching its way back upward.

Had a great day of work out on Crane Island yesterday!! Lovely views, great conversation and a wonderful feeling to broaden community beyond the shorelines of our beautiful island... if only by a couple hundred feet or so :) Thank you, Margaret, for being such a gracious host - looking forward to the next visit!

Regan Vaughn has purchased Smokestack Services, a chimney cleaning business opened by Toby Brown 15 years ago. As a volunteer firefighter, Brown started his company to reduce the number of chimney fire calls; it’s a mission that Vaughn hopes to continue.
