Appliance company installs new 4-wire appliance cord for our new range. The installer does not understand the purpose of the 4th conductor. The bonding strap must be removed in order for the 4th conductor to be effective. This unit is sharing the ground and neutral so there is no safety ground path.

Electrical at Lahaina condo.
Replacing internal and electrical devices...exterior outlet disintegrates in your hand, direct short to the grounded junction box and breaker doesn’t trip. Next trip, I will replace the units circuit breakers that are located outside in the salt air.
