We're proud to announce that we're among the awardees of a Neighborhood Stabilization Program grant to develop an affordable duplex in Greenfield! Thank you so much to our partners in the City of Greenfield, especially the folks at the Community and Economic Development department, and thank you to MassHousing for selecting our project among so many applicants, and for their focus on housing in our region! We're so excited to get started working on something in our own back yard!

The Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities Neighborhood Stabilization Program awarded a combined $1.82 million to two housing projects in Montague and one in Greenfield to create new affordable homeownership opportunities.

Oxbow Design Build founders Chris Millette and Carl Woodruff are featured in the “Connected by the Land” video, produced by the New England Forestry Foundation and premiered last week at the Canopy 2025 Forestry Forum at UMass Amherst.

The video, filmed by Tom Adams and supported by MA DCR, promotes the use of native Massachusetts lumber and highlights the people working to bring it into the buildings we live and work in.

This week we wanted to share some pics from one of our favorites of the past few years. This new construction in Westhampton was designed by Oxbow's Chris Millette and construction was completed by Oxbow last year!

We are continuing our retrospective with some recent photographs from one of our affordable housing projects in Greenfield. In partnership with The Compost Co-operative, Oxbow Design Build Co-operative transformed a dilapidated building in Greenfield into apartments built to last centuries rather than decades. There are many hurdles and lessons in this type of project and it helped teach us how to most effectively approach this sort of sustainable development work moving forward. This project stands out as an example of our most values-driven work with a design focused on performance, occupant health, and longevity.

Oxbow is continuing it's 10-year retrospective highlighting our design of The Plan (.plan.holyoke), a project that remains a strong example of thoughtful, functional design. It's rewarding to revisit past work and see how it's taken on a life of its own, growing, adapting, and serving the people who use it every day.
