🔑 East Providence has made it easier for homeowners to ease into the increased assessed value increased when adding an ADU to your property. This applies to OWNER OCCUPIED properties only. Owners can get a 5 year tax stabilization agreement where the increase in the assessed value is waived in the first year 100%, then increased by 20% per year for 5 years. Year 6 would see the full assessment increase.

Back at our Blue ADU designed accessory dwelling unit under construction in Barrington, RI with Fair Wind Properties executing the build. The foundation is well under way, with the footing now poured. This custom designed home will be an 840 sq ft 1-bedroom detached ADU that will provide housing to family - one of many important and valuable use cases for accessory dwelling units.
