Anyone who knows Jake, owner of J.W. Audet Landscapes, knows we are genuine, hard working and run an honest business. If there is damage that we cause we will always take responsibility for it. S**t happens and we’re always good for it.

The reality is someone taking a photo and slandering our business on social media in hopes to get their broken window fixed on our dime is absurd. Nothing flew off of our trailer or out of our truck. There is no proof of this other than someone taking a photo of our vehicle and claiming we damaged their windshield AFTER the fact. No one addressed Jake or his employees in the moment when this supposedly occurred. We mowed most of the day yesterday right on the Barre Montpelier road and this individual never followed us to the job site or stopped to have a face to face conversation. Dwight is liable for his own vehicle repairs and can contact his own insurance company for assistance paying for a new windshield.

We’re a small business doing honest work just trying to get by like everybody else. False narratives and slander don’t align with our morals and how we operate. We are not a bank for people who don’t pay timely and we’re not a scapegoat for your overdue vehicle repairs. If we throw a rock at a vehicle or a property while mowing and cause damage we will absolutely repair and cover that if you come forward when it occurs.

Claiming that “something” hit your windshield in hopes someone else will fix your vehicle on their dime is ridiculous & slander is not taken lightly in court. So we hope this will be the end of this and we appreciate those of you who continue to be the voice of reason to a person who’s reputation is 👎🏻

Thank you to those of you who brought these posts to our attention so we can publicly address this false narrative.
