I was hoping to get into Whitehills Lakes today, but there is too much standing water and I would do more harm than good but I will get any accounts next week that I didn't get to this week. For the remainder of the month, I may not necessarily get to you on your typical mow day, but once May arrives (and hopefully this rain has calmed down), I will get things back to a normal schedule. Thanks for your patience.

Signs of spring are finally appearing! I will start with some branch/stick cleanup next week along with cutting down lasts years ornamental grasses. I then will be taking a week off the first week of April and by the 13th I plan on starting spring cleanups and mowing.

02/23/26: Did another (mostly full) residential route. The great thing about a late February snow is that it cleans up nicely with a little sun.

02.06.26:
And yet another full plowing route. I’ll most likely be out Monday for cleanup in neighborhoods where the street plows did not make it to today.

02/05/26: we have some snow showers moving in today, followed by some possible freezing drizzle tonight with more snow showers coming early tomorrow morning. I did a pretreatment with salt for driveways with inclines, for all other driveways, the best thing to do is let the freezing drizzle fall on the snow that comes down today instead of letting it fall directly on to your driveway. If the forecast holds, I’ll be out Friday AM to plow.

02/02/26: at the risk of sounding like a broken record, that is another plowing in the books. Yes, the groundhog did see its shadow but on the bright side, its accuracy rate is about 40 percent.

01/28/26: And that's yet another plowing in the books. I'm with you on needing a break from the snow and cold. On the bright side, we will gain over 1 hour of daylight in the next 30 days, and by the second or third week of February, you really begin to notice the sun higher in the sky, which will help make even cold days feel warmer, and it certainly will do more to melt the snow. Hang in there; we are just about through the worst part of winter.

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of a long-time customer of ours, Mr. Whitmer. Whenever we were on his property to work, he and my dad would love to chat (leaving all the work for my brother and me), and I'm not sure what they ever talked about, but they would both walk away laughing. Life sure does move by quickly.
May he rest in peace.

1/26/26: Yet another route is underway. It depends on how the street plows operate this snowfall, but I hope to have everything plowed and cleaned up by 3.
