As an insurance claims advocate who fights for fair settlements for homeowners. So far in 2026 I would have to say in my opinion Travelers ranks worst for initial offers to the insured on claims. I almost don’t even look at them anymore knowing they are not even coming in close to an amount and that we can negotiate on and we will have to go other routes to get you a fair settlement. Buyer beware.

Way #700 insurance companies will delay your claim. We are now seven months into fighting this claim for the insured which they have already requested four separate inspections for and tried to deny twice when the insurance company decides it needs an independent company to do a roof inspection. it takes about a month for this to come to fruition. The insurance Company starts calling me again today to schedule another roof inspection. I called them I said why do you need another roof inspection? You just did one yesterday they told me the technician told them it was too wet to perform the roof inspection. Does this look like it was too wet to perform an inspection on a roof? These companies do not want to pay ever!!! they want to take your premium and have it paid on time every month but when it comes time to pony up, they have a long playbook of games to play with you. this is why you need a professional insurance team to have your back.
