❄️ Minnesota, winter is coming. Are your windows ready for it?

Most people don't know this: the U.S. Department of Energy says heat moving in and out through windows accounts for 25 to 30 percent of a home's heating and cooling energy use. Old, leaky windows mean you're paying to heat the outdoors.

Try this 3-minute window test this weekend:

1️⃣ The dollar bill test. Close a window on a dollar bill. If it slides out easily, your heat is slipping out too.
2️⃣ Fog between the panes. Haze or moisture trapped between the glass means the seal has failed.
3️⃣ The hand test. On a windy day, hold your hand near the edges of the window. If you feel a draft, your furnace is working overtime.
