Thank you Southeastern Louisiana University, for having us yesterday! We had such a great time connecting with the students and sharing what we do. We hope the students enjoyed learning more about the process that goes into drafting and designing precast infrastructure, as well as gaining a better understanding of the work and opportunities within the precast industry. We’re looking forward to coming back for another lecture soon!

The Prestressed Advantage
Waskey’s new prestressing capability allows for longer spans and enhanced load capacity.
Prestressing introduces a calculated precompression force into the concrete member before it ever sees a live load. That effective prestress counteracts tensile stresses under service conditions, improving serviceability, enhancing crack control, and enabling longer clear spans with shallower, more efficient sections. The solution is ideal for bridges, rail, industrial platforms, marine structures, and wall systems.
Longer spans mean fewer pieces, fewer connections, and a more efficient installation in the field.

Time for another Waskey Field Trip!
This time, our project managers traveled to an industrial site in North Carolina to see one of our custom precast sump systems after installation.
Waskey sump systems are fully customizable and designed to significantly reduce installation time in the field.

Remote construction is a good example of where precast can make a meaningful difference.
For the USACE West Shore Lake Pontchartrain WSLP-102 Project, Waskey provided B&K Construction with precast concrete bridges to create access on both sides of a new drainage structure.
The curved configuration required precise drafting and production. By shifting that complexity into controlled fabrication, the modular precast system supported faster installation in the field.
