As for the cleanup, we clean off the chard foam to expose the good foam underneath. Since closed cell foam is a complete vapor,air and moisture barrier at 1", we then spray over the smoke stained and stinchid foamto eliminate all smell and signs of fire. FIRE!!! This home we sprayed last year was struck by lighting witch ruptured the gas line in the utility area in the basement. We previously sprayed closed cell foam to the ceiling witch was metal with a poured concrete porch overhead. There was a lot of smoke but even with a flame thrower blowing directly on the foam it never caught fire. The fire department credited the closed cell foam, and the tightness of the home because of the spray foam throughout the rest of the house for the minimal damage. God blessed these people and may god bless foam.
