You wanted dark windows… but the budget said otherwise.
Dark windows can be beautiful, but they can also add significantly to the cost of a project. So what do you do when the windows you’re working with are almond?
Don’t fight them — design around them.
For this exterior, I’m pairing almond windows with a dark Black Fox exterior, then using a muted bronze trim around the windows to create a softer transition between light and dark. Warm, dimensional roofing and natural cedar accents help pull the whole palette together, while aged bronze exterior lighting repeats the bronze tones throughout.
The result? The almond windows feel intentional instead of like a compromise.
Good design isn’t always about getting every first-choice selection. Sometimes it’s about making the choices that fit the budget look like they were the plan all along.
