The Mat-Su Borough has replaced about 350 aging trail signs throughout the nearly 3,000-acre Matanuska Greenbelt with new trail maps, location markers and even direction arrows to help visitors navigate the trail system.

The up-to-date signs show recent trail reroutes and closures, but only include "official" trails. That means some offshoots made over time by users still don't show up.
