Did you know the most important place to clean up leaves this fall isn't your lawn? Take a tip from Tree Trust Landscape Services: it's around your trees!

Leaf buildup at the base of a tree trunk can create problems. If wet leaves are left against the bark, they can trap moisture, encouraging decay, fungal issues, and pests. The simple act of clearing leaves away from the trunk can help support long-term tree health.

Consider leaving a layer of leaves elsewhere. A light leafy layer protects beneficial insects as they transition to winter, and will decompose to naturally deliver nutrients back to your plants, lawn, and soil. 🍂
