Every year, we present the Richard F. Hunt Scholarship to a select group of students at Saint Paul College. This scholarship honors Mr. Hunt, the founder and inaugural president of Hunt Electric, who maintained a deep connection with what was then known as St. Paul Technical and Vocational Institute (St. Paul TVI).

Robert Tipler, who served as Hunt's president from 1976 to 1996, was also an alumnus of St. Paul TVI. During his tenure, he noted that 95% of Hunt’s workforce, both in the field and office, were graduates of St. Paul TVI. He initiated this scholarship to support the future of Hunt Electric and the broader electrical industry.

Hunt transformed a retail space in Eagan, MN, into a state-of-the-art cannabis facility. The project included a full electrical overhaul with new lighting, outlets, and integrated data and security systems. Despite a tight timeline, Hunt's Granite Ledge team ensured the facility met all operational and security needs, featuring extensive security wiring and advanced camera systems.

Our ESOP Trivia Showdown made its return last week! We tested our employees on their ESOP knowledge, and in true Hunt fashion, they nailed it! The winners: Andy, Mike, Samara, Chris, and Austin. Chris and Austin were on winning teams in last year's ESOP trivia as well, so we know who we want to team up with next time... 😂

It's Graduation Season!! Six of our superstar estimating interns have just 😵‍💫spun🌀 their way into full-time roles as estimators at Hunt (not all pictured here!), and we're beaming with pride over this amazing crew and their incredible dedication, balancing school and their internship like pros. The best part? This isn't the end—it's just the beginning of an exciting full-time career at Hunt! Let's give them a big round of applause for their hard work and bright futures!

Hunt Electric has transformed Minot Air Force Base with a cutting-edge indoor rifle range, replacing outdated 1980s facilities. This modern, consolidated structure enhances training efficiency and capacity with advanced systems and integrated support spaces, meeting evolving military training needs and ensuring operational readiness.

Last week, team members from various branches and divisions of Hunt gathered at our Eagan HQ for our annual safety fair! The event featured leadership training, guest speakers, and giveaways, and was our largest safety fair to date, with 450 attendees over three days!

Highlights included the introduction of the new Pre-Task Plan (PTP), a walkthrough of the First Aid kits, and the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) boards. Smaller breakout sessions allowed leadership to engage more deeply with discussions.

One of our safety leaders remarked, "Hunt's willingness to set aside three days, pulling in leadership for an entire day to focus on safety, underscores our commitment to making safety our foundation." At Hunt, safety is not just a box to check—it's deeply-embedded in our culture, and we take it seriously.
