🍀Did you know St. Patrick’s Day and surveying actually have a unique historical connection?! Many of the early surveyors in the U.S. were Irish immigrants or of Irish descent. Some surveyors even joke that St. Patrick was the first land surveyor because, according to legend, he used a staff to "measure" and claim land for churches across Ireland.🍀

🍀Additionally, there’s a fun tradition among surveyors on St. Patrick’s Day where they associate the profession with the phrase "The Wearing of the Green"—not just because of Irish pride, but also because many old surveying instruments (like early theodolites and compasses) were painted green.🍀
