Root and Bloom Garden Care

Sometimes you have to start from the ground up. 🌱

These beds had slowly been taken over by grass and weeds, so we cleared them back out, reshaped the garden beds, added a few new plants, and finished everything off with fresh mulch.

It’s amazing what a little cleanup and some fresh definition can do for a home. 🤎

There’s still plenty of room for these beds to grow and evolve, but they already feel like garden beds again!

🌿 Business has been blooming… and apparently my social media has been wilting. 😂

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet on here lately! Root & Bloom has been keeping me BUSY, and somewhere between pulling weeds, planting, mulching, cleaning up beds, and running from one job to the next, I’ve gotten pretty terrible about remembering to take before-and-after photos. 🤦🏼‍♀️

It’s a good problem to have, though! I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted me with their gardens this season — including all of my returning clients who continue to keep me busy. 💚

I may not have the pictures to prove it lately, but Root & Bloom is definitely blooming. 🌸🌿

I have service at the moment so figured I would drop in to say I’m praying and thinking of everyone who has been impacted by these storms. It’s been wonderful to see the community stepping up to help one another during this time. If anyone has tried to get ahold of me I ask for patience as my cell service has been in and out and simply isn’t reliable at this time. If you are able bodied I encourage you to get out there and look out for your neighbors. Please stay safe. I will continue to pray for the Chicago land and Northwest Indiana Region.

Clean lines never go out of style. ✨

This new landscape border gives the driveway a polished, finished look while keeping maintenance easy for years to come.

It’s amazing what a little definition can do! 🌱

A little vision, a lot of hard work, and this landscape has a whole new look. 🌿✨

Fresh mulch, thoughtful plant selections, and a design that will only get better as everything fills in. I can’t wait to see this one next season! 💚

A full car = a fun day ahead. 🌸🌿
Picking out the perfect plants is one of my favorite parts of the job. Can’t wait to get these beauties in the ground and bring this garden to life! 💚

Plot twist: today’s client had an extra “garden helper.” 🐍
He supervised the cleanup for about 30 seconds before I gave him a new address. 😂

Getting this beautiful property picture-ready! 🌿🏡
These homeowners are getting ready to list their home, so I came by to tackle the weeds and freshen up the garden beds before real estate photos on Monday. A little garden cleanup can make a big difference when it comes to that first impression! ✨

A little raised bed glow-up 🌱✨

We filled this 12x4x1 raised bed with soil, tackled all the weeds around it, added fresh mulch, and got a start on filling it with plants! 🌸🌿 We left a little room for the homeowners to decide what they want to add next because half the fun is watching a garden come together over time!

Can’t wait to see what they choose! 💚
