Relocations are tough. Highly technical ones are tougher. The person responsible for life sciences moves often has competing priorities along with a building full of specialized equipment that has to be relocated without any issues.

What keeps them up at night isn't the part they can see. It's the unknowns.

Did the freezer monitoring fail before anyone noticed?
Will our business continuity be maintained as planned?
How do I ensure the samples are handled properly through the transition?

The real job of an experienced move partner isn't carrying equipment. It's carrying the weight. One who knows where the risks live and the problems hide, so the owner doesn't have to find them the hard way.

If you're getting ready for a lab relocation, 35 North offers the confidence you need and can serve as a trusted partner who won't let the details slip.

Lab relocations aren't facility moves. They're precision operations that carry risk.

In life sciences, a move gone wrong doesn't just cost time — it can compromise validated systems, damage irreplaceable samples, and halt production. A few key questions your move manager should be asking:

- Does this require uninterrupted lab operations throughout every phase?
- How much of the move requires temperature-controlled transport for biologics, reagents, and cold-chain materials?
- Do you have large equipment requiring rigging or crane support?
- Will OEM vendor coordination be needed for calibration, requalification, or decommissioning?
- How many cleanrooms are involved? Each requires scheduling around environmental monitoring windows.

The margin for error is zero. The planning has to start long before the first crate moves.

Efficient project delivery depends on more than speed. It requires the right processes from the start. Streamlining IQ/OQ can help reduce delays, improve coordination, and support smoother transitions from construction to operations, especially in highly regulated environments. Five years of shaping how the industry sees us, building the awareness and connections that help owners find the right solution at the right time. Two years of cultivating relationships that turn a first conversation into a long-term partnership. One year of keeping complex projects on schedule and every person on site safe.

Different strengths, different roles — one team that knows how to deliver.

Congratulations to Ashley Chisholm, Michael Kriston, and Hunter Allen on their work anniversaries. Your consistency and commitment to helping clients achieve capital project success has not gone unnoticed.

Here's to the milestones you've reached and the ones ahead.

There's a military saying that applies perfectly to capital projects:
"Slow is smooth. Smooth is fast."

Every phase of a capital project matters — from idea to operations. But they're not actually sequential. They overlap. And the ones you underinvest in early will likely find you later...in budget overruns, schedule slips, and sleepless nights.

This is especially important for large, complex projects. Our guide covers the full life cycle. Two phases that often catch owners off guard:

🔹 Programming: Clearly define the scope and develop a good strategy, budget, and schedule early. Skip it or rush it, and every phase downstream may pay the price.

🔹 Commissioning: Long before you get to CQV, engage quality leads. Be sure to identify the commissioning strategy early to ensure testing and documentation expectations are reflected in procurement contracts.

The owners who move fastest are almost always the ones who slowed down first.

Warm weather, good conversations, and time spent with a great team. A perfect way to wrap up the week!
Getting together outside of work is always a reminder that the relationships built beyond projects and deadlines are just as important as the work itself. Grateful for a team that brings energy, collaboration, and plenty of laughs both in and out of the office.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten, and we remain deeply grateful for those who gave everything to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Memorial Day carries deep personal meaning for our entire team.

In observance of Memorial Day, the 35 North office will be closed on Monday, May 25. We wish everyone a safe and meaningful holiday weekend.

There's nothing quite like stepping away from the day-to-day to reconnect with the people you work alongside.

Recently, 35 North team members gathered at Boxyard to enjoy the gorgeous weather, share some laughs, and spend time together outside of project work. The conversations were great, the energy was even better, and the evening was a reminder of just how much the people and relationships on this team mean to us.

We appreciate everyone who joined us and helped make it such a fun and memorable event. Cheers to many more gatherings ahead!

Capital projects are delivered smoothly. Facilities operate as intended. Schedules and budgets are protected. Coincidence? No way.

Today we're celebrating three people who help make that happen — Bob Radcliff, project executive and two-year 35 North veteran; Amy Shoop, project executive, wrapping up year one; and Jalon Twitty, commissioning engineer who's spent his first year making sure everything works exactly as it should for our clients.

Happy work anniversary to all three. We're better with you on the team!
