Six projects. Six categories. One incredible honor!

We're proud to announce that six EVOKE Studio projects have been shortlisted for the 2026 World Architecture Festival Awards across Completed Buildings, Future Projects, and Interiors!

Congratulations to our clients, partners, and teams for helping bring these projects to life. We can't wait to join the global design community in Fort Lauderdale this November, where our projects will be presented live to a panel of judges and an audience of our peers.

DPS – Murray Massenburg Elementary
Category | Built Projects – School

This vibrant elementary school fuses the natural wooded, hilly site with 21st-century learning goals. Organized around a courtyard, it fosters community, promotes indoor-outdoor connections, and features learning commons at each corner. A bridge housing shared programs spans the courtyard’s eastern edge, creating a welcoming gateway to the woods.

A milestone years in the making.

Last Friday, we celebrated the topping out of the Windsor Chavis Nocho Community Complex—a project we've had the privilege of helping shape since 2019 alongside VINES Architecture .

After years of planning, collaboration, and community engagement, it's inspiring to see this vision for City of Greensboro, NC, Greensboro Parks & Recreation, and Greensboro Public Library taking shape.

This project honors a remarkable history while creating new opportunities for connection, wellness, and community. Once complete, the 12-acre park will feature a 65,000 SF building with library, aquatics, recreation, and community-services spaces, an outdoor basketball pavilion, several picnic pavilions, a sports field, and more.

We can't wait to see the next chapter of this story written by the community that inspired it.

We’re honored to share that the John Chavis Memorial Park Aquatic Center has been named a finalist in the Architizer A+ Awards. ✨

Building upon the legacy of one of the most prominent historically Black parks in the country, the Aquatic Center restores the spirit of the original pool while creating new opportunities for recreation, connection, and community pride for future generations.

Inspired by the park’s historic carousel and elliptical pathways, the design blends landscape, light, and memory — with a grounded brick base and a luminous perforated metal crown that glows like a modern-day lantern within the park.

More than a pool, this project is a celebration of resilience, joy, and the enduring importance of community space.

Please take a moment and vote for our project in the Unbuilt Sports and Recreation category (link in profile). And more importantly, we're excited to begin construction soon.
