Two sinks, one morning, no negotiating.

A double vanity only feels calm when the top is one continuous piece. The veining travels across both basins instead of stopping at a seam in the middle, and there is real counter between the bowls, which is where the whole thing usually falls apart. We template the full run at once so the pattern lands where you want it, and the backsplash comes off the same slab. Shared bathroom, single surface, nobody arguing about elbow room.

Fewer edges to catch anything.

The basin sits under the stone with no rim, so a cloth runs from the faucet to the drain in one pass. The backsplash is the same material as the top, which turns the wall joint into a single line instead of a caulk seam you repaint every two years. The cutout radius is polished by hand after the machine cuts it. None of this is the part people photograph, and all of it is the part you live with.

Ours breaks into four lines you can actually read. Material, the slab you picked. Fabrication, the cutouts, edges, and seams. Finish, the polish and the edge profile. Installation, our crew setting it in your home. You see all four before you commit, so nothing new shows up after templating day. Corner vanities are where the seam gets decided.

This top turns a corner, so the joint has to land where the veining can carry across it. Get it wrong and your eye stops there every morning. Faucet holes drilled to the actual fixture, sink set from below, backsplash cut from the same slab. Templated on site, fabricated in Durham, set in one visit.

The bathroom is the only room that gets you twice a day.

Warm stone-look walls, a window over the tub, and a long vanity run with a dark veined top. That last part is a practical choice as much as a visual one. A dark, heavily veined surface forgives water spots and toothpaste in a way flat white never will, and it still reads calm in morning light. Small room, small square footage, so the stone you priced out and skipped in the kitchen is often back in reach here.

That backsplash is the same slab as the counter.

A full-height stone backsplash is not a finish you pick at the end. It gets decided at layout, because the vein has to leave the counter and land on the wall in the right place. We lay the slab out digitally at the shop and mark where the cuts fall before anything is cut. It usually means more material, and it means no grout lines behind your range to scrub. If you cook on gas and hate cleaning, this is the upgrade worth the conversation.

Save this if you are deciding between tile and stone behind your range.
