Woodworkers For a Cause, the charity drive run by The Wood Whisperer since 2010, is back for 2026. This year every dollar goes to The Purple Heart Project, a nonprofit that puts woodworking tools and training in the hands of combat wounded veterans.
The centerpiece is a free live stream on Friday, October 2, from 10 am to 3 pm Central, hosted by Marc Spagnuolo, the woodworker behind The Wood Whisperer and its YouTube audience of nearly 900,000 subscribers. Marc will walk viewers through every item in the charity auction and take questions live. Master hand-tool woodworker Rob Cosman, founder of The Purple Heart Project, and Jeff O'Connor, a retired U.S. Navy EOD Master Chief who attended the program on scholarship in 2019, will join to talk about the veterans the program serves.
