Our Cambistat machine sprang a leak today, so the crew adapted and applied the treatment by hand.

Cambistat is a soil-applied growth regulator that helps slow excessive shoot growth, allowing trees to direct more energy toward root development and overall health.

For these trees, especially the willow, that means we can help preserve the long, graceful branches the clients love while supporting their long-term health.

🌲 How We Care for Legacy Trees & Unique Species

Legacy trees and unique species deserve a little extra care.

This larch is likely the largest one in Durango that we’re aware of. Because larches are uncommon in our region, this intentionally planted tree has become a unique specimen worth preserving.

To support its long-term health, we:
🌱 Exposed the root flare
💨 Decompacted the soil
🪱 Applied soil amendments
🍂 Added a fresh mulch ring to protect the root zone

A little extra care goes a long way!!
