The stand will be open tomorrow from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM!

Location: Sandhills Road & Highway 2 between Dunning and Halsey

I’ll be harvesting more pumpkins this evening, and the bouquets just need to be wrapped up and they’ll be ready to go. 💐

I’ll also have a handful of dried floral pumpkins available, perfect for adding a little something extra to your fall decor. 🍂🍁🎃

There’s something about manure fertilizer that makes flowers grow beautifully. 🌱🌸

It’s not exactly pretty. It can be messy, it can stink, and you probably wouldn’t choose to decorate your garden with it. 😂 But mixed into the soil, it gives the plants what they need to grow strong and produce beautiful blooms.

Life can be a lot like that.

Sometimes we go through things that are messy, uncomfortable, or downright stinky. Things we would never choose for ourselves. But those seasons can nourish us, strengthen our roots, and help us grow into something more beautiful than we ever imagined.

The hard stuff doesn’t always feel like it’s doing us any good while we’re in it. Sometimes you have to look back and realize that what felt like a pile of manure was actually helping you grow. 🤎🌱

So here’s to growing through the mess, putting down strong roots, and blooming anyway.

I had a little fun making a practice bouquet tonight, and now this pretty little thing is looking for a home.

It was made simply for the fun of creating, but I think it deserves to brighten someone’s kitchen table, entryway, or wherever it can bring a little color.

This beauty here is called Lee’s Chloe. As always, a photo doesn’t do her complete justice. The colors are so much richer in person, from the buttery-soft cream to the beautiful light orange accents. 🤍🧡

Hopefully this one, along with all the other dahlias, has been putting in just as much hard work below ground as they have above it. 😂

After the first hard frost, I’ll be digging the clumps of tubers, washing them, dividing them, and carefully tucking them into their special w**e fridge for their winter hibernation. 🌸

My hope is to continue taking cuttings and dividing tubers over the next several years to build up our stock. Eventually, I’d love to have dahlia-heavy bouquets in the fall and possibly even offer tubers to other flower lovers in the spring!

Bouquets are wrapped and ready to go, I picked more pumpkins this morning, and I’m really enjoying these cooler temperatures! 🍂🎃💐

The one thing about this time of year that I don’t love is how quickly it gets dark! The older kiddo and I were out harvesting flowers by flashlight last night. 😅😅

Hello friends!

The flower stand will be open this Sunday from 10:00 AM–5:00 PM!

📍 LOCATION: Sandhills Road & Highway 2, between Dunning and Halsey

We’ll have fresh bouquets, pumpkins, seeds, and more! 🎃💐🌱

With the temperatures cooling off, we don’t know how much longer we’ll be able to offer bouquets, and it’s definitely bittersweet! Most of our warm-loving annuals are starting to slow down, while the dahlias are really starting to shine.

I’ll also be taking bouquet orders for the end of the season! All I ask is for at least 3 days’ notice so I have time to put something beautiful together for you.

Maybe it’s because I’m a little bit of a misfit myself, but I think there’s something beautiful about not looking perfect.

A perfectly straight sunflower is beautiful, sure. But give me the one that leans sideways and looks like it has a personality. Give me the dahlia that didn’t quite get the memo on how a dahlia is supposed to look.

There’s beauty in the odd ones, too. Maybe even a little more. 💛

So here’s to the weirdos, the misfits, and all of us that refuse to follow the rules!

Good evening, friends! 💜 Farmer Vlad wanted to let you all know that the stand will be OPEN tomorrow from 10:00 AM–6:00 PM! 🌻

We had thought about being open Sunday as well, but looking at the weather, we may just stick with tomorrow for now.

The flowers are starting to slow down a bit as we head into fall, so we may have a smaller number of bouquets available than we’ve had recently. 🌸🍂 If you’ve been wanting one, tomorrow would be a great time to stop by!

We’ll have what the garden gives us, along with the other goodies at the stand. We hope to see you! 💜🌻
