Why monthly rodent control? 🐭

Because rodents don’t operate on your schedule.
Conditions change throughout the year. Food sources change. Weather changes. And new mice can find their way onto your property even after you’ve dealt with a previous problem.

Monthly Rodent Control gives Custom Pest Control the opportunity to routinely monitor your property, look for signs of activity and respond when something changes.

Think of it less as treating a mouse problem, and more as helping prevent one from getting out of hand.

🐭 If you SEE a mouse, chances are it’s not the first one to come inside.

That’s why Custom Pest Control offers Monthly Rodent Control (MRC): a proactive approach designed to help keep rodent activity under control all year long.
Regular service means we’re not just showing up after you have a problem. We’re continually monitoring for activity and addressing issues before they have the chance to become a much bigger headache.

Because when it comes to mice, we’d much rather be ahead of them than chasing them.

🪵 WHERE'S YOUR FIREWOOD?

If the answer is "stacked right against the house," you may want to reconsider.

Wood piles can provide shelter for spiders, insects and rodents. And when they're sitting next to your house, those pests don't have far to travel when they decide they'd prefer somewhere warmer. 😳

Keep firewood elevated when possible and stored away from the house. And when you bring wood inside, give it a quick inspection first.

🔥 Cozy fires this fall? Absolutely.
🕷️ Bringing a spider inside with the firewood? Let's skip that part.

DID YOU KNOW? Your house starts looking pretty good to pests this time of year.

As temperatures drop, insects and rodents start looking for three things:

🏠 Shelter
🔥 Warmth
🍽️ Food

And unfortunately, your home has all three. 😥

Mice, spiders, stink bugs, cluster flies and other fall invaders may start finding their way inside through surprisingly small gaps around foundations, doors, windows, siding and utility lines.

If you're suddenly noticing a few uninvited guests indoors, there's probably a reason. Fall is moving season for pests, too.

The good news? Catching the problem early can help keep a couple of visitors from becoming a much bigger winter headache.

This is why there is never just one ant. 🐜

One scout finds a food source and suddenly your kitchen has been added to the group chat.

Clean up the crumbs, eliminate accessible food sources, and if the invitations have already gone out, call Custom Pest Control: 607-742-5716.

If you’ve ever had a toddler, you already understand pest control. 😂

They can get into places that seem physically impossible. They’re very interested in whatever food you have. And telling them they’re not supposed to be there has absolutely no effect.

The difference?

Eventually, toddlers grow out of it. The mice in your walls will not. 🐭

As temperatures drop, mice and other pests start looking for warm, protected places to spend the colder months - and your home can look pretty inviting.

See something? Hear something? Find suspicious evidence that someone has been snacking after hours?

That’s where Custom Pest Control comes in. 🏠

PEST CONTROL MATH 🧮

One ant on the counter = probably not one ant.

One mouse dropping = worth investigating.

One wasp going into a hole in the siding = definitely more where that came from.

One spider = okay, maybe Gary just got lost.

Knowing when something is random - and when it’s a sign of a bigger problem - is exactly why professional pest control exists.

Except Gary. We’ll need more information about Gary. 🕷️🧐

Why does it suddenly seem like there are spiders EVERYWHERE? 🕷️

You’re not imagining it.

Late summer and early fall are prime spider season. Many spiders are fully grown and more active right now, and some males are wandering around looking for mates.

The good news? Most would rather avoid you.

The less-good news? Apparently they’d like to avoid you from inside your house. 😬

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed that day.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the heartbreak, the heroism, and the way our nation came together in the days that followed.

As a local business, we’re grateful to be part of a community where neighbors still look out for neighbors; and today, we join communities across our country in remembering.

May we never forget.

POV: It drops below 70° for the first time.

You: 🍂🎃☕️ “FALL!”

Every spider, mouse, stink bug and yellowjacket:
“Great. Where are we living this winter?” 🏠

September is prime time for pests to start looking for warmer accommodations.

Unfortunately, your house has excellent reviews. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Custom Pest Control can help make sure there are no vacancies.
