Christmas came a day late for Murray, he was beyond excited with all the new sticks we provided him with. He kept a close eye on us as we performed a crown lift on his folks trees.

WHAT IS A CROWN LIFT AND WHY SHOULD YOU CONSIDER IT?

Tree crown lifting is the removal of lower branches to lift the height of the crown's base. It's carried out to increase the clearance between the ground and the lower branches. It's also used to reduce weight from a tree and allow more light to pass through the branches.

BENEFITS OF CROWN LIFTING:

· Creates a higher tree canopy

· Keeps the branches away from passing traffic.

· Keeps the branches away from buildings

· Opens up desirable views otherwise blocked by the tree's lower branches
