As May comes to a close, we recognize National Electrical Safety Month and the importance of keeping safety at the forefront — not just this month, but every single day.

For many, it’s a reminder. For us at Dvorak, it’s part of who we are.

The work we do requires constant awareness, communication, and accountability. From planning and preparation to ex*****on in the field, safety is built into every step of the process — not just because it’s required, but because it matters.

At Dvorak, safety is our first core value and remains at the center of everything we do. Every job site, every task, and every decision carries the shared responsibility of protecting one another and maintaining safe working environments across all of our projects.

Electrical Safety Month serves as an important opportunity to recognize the importance of safe practices, ongoing training, and the employees who continue to make safety a daily commitment.

Because at the end of the day, the goal is simple: everyone goes home safely.

In observance of Memorial Day, Dvorak will be closed today Monday, May 25th.

This weekend, we take time to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are grateful for their service, courage, and dedication.

On May 1st, we hosted our Company Benefits Meeting (Open Enrollment) at the office, bringing employees together for a day focused on engagement, connection, and learning more about the benefits and resources available here at Dvorak. We were happy to have everyone together in one place to collaborate, connect, and take part in the day’s activities.

The day began with motivational remarks from Chris Steer, followed by employee anniversary recognition, our new Core Value Awards, and a benefits overview led by Daniel Carey, our fantastic benefits broker, and Director of HR, Morgan Smith. During the meeting, employees learned more about available benefit options, important updates, and one of the biggest highlights of the day — a decrease in healthcare costs for employees!

In a time when healthcare costs continue to rise, this was an exciting win for our employees and a reflection of Dvorak’s continued commitment to listening, investing in our people, and providing meaningful support where we can.

Employees also had the opportunity to connect with providers and company representatives, ask questions, enjoy a catered breakfast and lunch, and participate in raffles throughout the day. Raffle prizes included experiences such as a Chincoteague boat cruise, Orioles tickets, National Aquarium and Maryland Zoo tickets, a round of golf, and several other exciting giveaways.

Following the event, we sent out a survey to gather employee feedback, and the responses were overwhelmingly positive. We were glad to hear that employees felt the day was valuable, informative, and enjoyable, and we look forward to continuing to create opportunities that support, engage, and bring our team together!

This May, during Military Appreciation Month, we proudly recognize and honor the veterans within our Dvorak team, along with all those who have served our country. With our roots grounded in military service through founder and veteran Tom Dvorak, the values of commitment, leadership, hard work, and dedication continue to shape our company and the way we serve our clients and communities every day.

We are proud to be a Veteran-Owned Business and grateful for the men and women whose dedication and sacrifice have made a lasting impact both in the military and within our communities.

Work continues at Wilmington Airport Hangar 2 as our crews complete lighting upgrades. 🛬

The project includes upgrades within both the hangar and office spaces, helping improve overall functionality, visibility, and long-term reliability. Projects like this are a great example of the quality workmanship and dedication our field teams bring to every job!

Led by Project Manager Ricky Walters, this project reflects the teamwork and attention to detail that drive successful results.
