Airflow matters! If you have a 5 ton unit, it must be accompanied with a 5 ton duct system or you're likely only getting 4 tons of capacity out of the system. You're Basically not getting your money's worth.

In addition to paying for the 5 ton only to use it like a 4 ton, compressors will be more prone to failure. If the airflow is so restrictive that the indoor coil/ refrigerant can't absorb heat to create a change in state from liquid to gas, your compressor will begin to pump liquid. Only for a while though, then it'll stroke out.

If you've sized up when you replaced your unit and it didn't improve comfort, (hint, hint) it's probably the duct system.

The 25C tax credits are ending this year, instead of 2030, like originally planned. If your unit is over 15 years old, the power bill is climbing, or you've had to top it off every year, you could miss out on up to $2k in tax credits.

It's getting hot and you guys are keeping us busy! You haven't heard from us in a while because our "marketing team" has been installing and repairing units. Although this is the season for repair and replacement, this is your PSA to have your new systems maintained. In the very least, a maintenance inspection ensures that the service panel is opened and visually inspected (among lots of other things). September and October are great times to have your system inspected for the coming heating season.

This unit was installed earlier this year and already has signs of a rodent tenant that has already started to trash the place (see droppings and chewed wire).
