Denailing shiplap! The pneumatic denailer in action on this hundred year old shiplap. It makes short work of cleaning up this beautiful material and giving it a second life.

Spent some time over in Superior salvaging some really beautiful hundred year old shiplap today to save it from going to the dump when the barn gets torn down later this week. We’ve got it listed on the LumberStash website for you to purchase if you’ve got a need for it. I’ll be denailing & getting it cleaned up and it’ll be available once I’ve gathered the remaining lengths in the coming days.
Also, we’ll be adding ~840 ft2 of old growth boards from a hay loft, a slew of rough sawn dimensional 2x4s and maybe a few other surprises.

A barn in Superior, WI is coming down the week of June 1st, LumberStash is pulling some beautiful material out of it before it goes.

680 sq ft of 7.5" pine shiplap, 840 sq ft of pine/spruce boards of from the floor of a hay loft and ~320 rough sawn actual 2x4s with a patina that took generations to develop. Pick it all up onsite as we're stripping them from the turn of the century barn.

Spent some time today helping to shore up and complete a pond we started last fall to help dry out my friend’s yard. Rented a mini-ex and made short work of digging the pond out a bit more and also building a larger berm to help hold water back from entering the yard during larger flow periods.
Next up is armoring with more rock and completing the plantings to finish off this space.

Kicked of the summer season by installing a mini food forest and an outdoor shower up on Island Lake, about a half hour north of Duluth. We added a bunch of edible plants for the client's grandkids when they visit and also provided some beautiful structural plants to the plan that will make the space pop during every season once they grow in. I also constructed an outdoor shower out of very lovely tamarack to hose off kids and dogs as they come in from the lake. I cant wait to hear about all the use that both of these spaces receive now that they're completed.

Big thanks to my friends at Shoreview Natives, Prairie Restorations, Inc., and Hammarlund Landscape Nursery for the plants! Also a huge shout out to Sherry and the crew Duluth Dirt for the mulch, soil and rock and Will at for the beautiful tamarack!

Gearing up for a new project up on Island Lake this week. Finished sourcing the plants and have a truckload of mulch to spread out. We’ll also be constructing an outdoor shower to rinse kids off as they come in from the lake.
