One of those “not really sure what to call it” kind of days. 😂

No major build. No big jobsite milestone. Just knocking out everything that’s been waiting—adjusting an access door, yard cleanup, hauling off old furniture and trash, organizing, getting things ready for another project and squeezing in some grandbaby time along the way.

Sometimes progress isn’t what you BUILD.

Sometimes it’s everything you get out of the way so you’re READY to build.

Some folks see an old dock that’s finally had enough. We see good bones, good memories—and a good fixer upper.

This one’s about more than lumber, piles, bolts and seawalls.

It’s about restoring the places where families grew up. Where Dad taught the kids to fish. Where Grandpa sat by the water. Where boats came and went, kids jumped off the end, and Carolina sunsets closed out another summer day.

Then one day those kids grow up—and bring their own babies back to the same water.

That’s when restoration becomes something bigger than construction.

Save what’s good. Replace what’s not. Strengthen what’s weak. Build it back with pride. And pass it on.

🌧️ HONEY DOO RAIN DAY — Rainy Days Don’t Stop! 🤘

A rainy day sounds like the perfect excuse to kick back and do absolutely nothing…

Until you look outside. 😂

Grass needs cutting. Flower beds need cleaning. Weeds are taking over. Mulch needs spreading. There’s junk that should’ve gone to the dump six months ago, and apparently the garage isn’t going to organize itself.

So much for the day off!

But that’s part of life. Keep moving, keep improving things, have a little fun doing it, and maybe make Mama happy in the process.

That’s the whole idea behind “Honey Doo Rain Day.”

A little Country Rock, a little tropical attitude, some laughs and a whole lot of that working-man mentality:

ONE JOB DOWN. ANOTHER AHEAD. 🔨🛻🌊

That’s the life.

Finish one build, pack the tools, load the trailer and head toward the next opportunity.

New customers to meet. New sites to scope. New ideas to work through. Measurements, planning, quotes, proposals, staging, preparation—and eventually turning another idea into something real.

There’ll be hard days, salty sweat and plenty of problems to solve.

There’ll also be hard laughs, fresh air, different water and memories made along the way.

DAY 19 — WRAP-UP DAY. 🛠️🌊

From the first pile driven to the last finishing detail, this build has been one hell of a journey.

19 work days of framing, decking, rails, roofing, pole wraps, heat, rain, mud, long hours and figuring things out as we went. Today we finally get to step back and see what all that work became.

“More Than Wood & Steel” is exactly what this build represents. We don’t just build docks and shelters — we build places where families gather, lines get cast, sunsets get watched and memories get made.

Another one wrapped up. Another one built to last. 👊

Day 18 — ONE MORE DAY TO GO. 🔨🔥

Subframe support going in and the metal roof is officially underway. After all the long days, heat, humidity, rain, grit and grime, this dock and shelter build is finally coming down to the wire.

Day 17 — Pole Wrap Day.

The heavy construction got us here. Now it’s the finishing details that start bringing the entire build together. Measure it, fit it, wrap it, and get it right.

The camera only captures a few seconds… it doesn’t show the sore shoulders, busted hands, sweat-soaked shirts, or the miles of work behind every board.

Day 16: Headers & Fascia was another reminder that quality isn’t built by shortcuts—it’s built one piece at a time.
