COMMERCIAL BUIDLING RECIEVES ENERGY EFFICIENT ROOF REPLACEMENT
PROBLEM: This existing durolast roof system was at the end of its life and was in desperate need of a replacement before severe damage occured. The DuroLast PVC Membrane had began bullseye cracking allowing water intrusion even during the lightest rain occurences. Through the removal of the membrane we found several areas in which the styrofoam underlayment was growing algae showing standing water underneath the membrane.
SOLUTION : Due to this being a climate controlled building that is occupied year round, we determined that a seamless SPF Roof system would allow drastic energy savings to the owners. This system enables us to install a seamless and insulated roofing system that entails a renewable NDL- Manufacturers Warranty, once the original warranty is up, at a fraction of the cost of a total roof replacement!
INSTALLATION: The Process of this project was simple and efficient!
1.) Remove Existing PVC Membrane and Styrofoam Underlayment
2.) Mechanically attatch 1/2" DensDeck Prime Roof Board to existing steel deck
3.)Installing New Internal Drain Inserts
4.)Install New Custom Drip Edge
5.) Install 2.0" of 2.8LB Density Polyurethane SPF Creating a Seamless Roof System
6.) Install 2.5 GAL/ 100 SQ FT of High Solids Silicone Coating Compmpleting a UV Stable, Insulated, Seamless, and Reflective Roof System
7.) Customer Recieves 20-Year Manufacturers Warranty!
