Recently, we had the privilege of gathering in beautiful Savannah to celebrate our 50th anniversary, a milestone that means so much to the Garbutt Construction family.



What began in Dublin, Georgia, in 1976 has grown into something far greater than buildings and projects. Over the past five decades, we’ve built lasting relationships, formed lifelong friendships, and had the opportunity to work alongside some truly remarkable people.



As we celebrated this milestone, we were reminded that the heart of Garbutt has always been its people. From the employees who have dedicated their talents and years of service to our company, to the clients who have placed their trust in us, the industry partners who have worked alongside us, and the families and friends who have supported us along the way — each has played a part in our story.



We are incredibly proud of the legacy that began 50 years ago, but even more grateful for the people who have helped carry it forward.



To everyone who joined us in Savannah, and to all who have been part of the Garbutt story over the years, thank you. You have made these 50 years something truly worth celebrating.



Here's to honoring where we began, celebrating how far we've come, and looking forward to all that lies ahead!

Another great project is in the books! 🐾



Garbutt Construction Company is proud to announce the completion of The Dog Stop in Savannah. In just under four months, our team transformed a former karaoke bar into a modern, state-of-the-art facility featuring dog daycare, boarding, grooming, and training services.



While the howling may continue, these days it's coming from happy pups instead of karaoke singers.



A sincere thank you to our client, project partners, and everyone whose hard work and dedication made this transformation possible. We appreciate the opportunity to bring another quality project to life in the Savannah community and wish The Dog Stop team continued success in their new home!

What an exciting day to be a Fort Valley State University !

Congratulations to FVSU on the official ribbon cutting of the beautifully renovated Lyons Center. We are honored to have been part of bringing new life to a facility that has meant so much to the campus community and will continue to serve students for generations to come.

Watching the vision become reality has been an exciting journey, and seeing the doors officially open to such a beautiful, revitalized space is a proud moment for everyone involved. The finished facility is a testament to what can be accomplished through collaboration, dedication, and a shared commitment to excellence. Thank you to Fort Valley State University, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, the Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), and JMA Architecture for your collaboration, vision, and commitment throughout the project.

Garbutt Construction Company invites you to join us on July 24 for the Holton Darley Benefit Golf Tournament. Many of you know Holton as a dedicated Project Manager, great friend, and someone whose positive attitude has always made an impact on those around him.

On December 31, 2025, Holton suffered a devastating accident while in Charleston, South Carolina. Since that day, Holton has faced unimaginable challenges with extraordinary courage. After receiving care at MUSC, he was accepted into Shepherd Center in Atlanta and later transitioned to Pathways Recovery to continue his rehabilitation. Through determination, faith, and an unwavering positive attitude, Holton continues to make incredible strides in his recovery, defying the odds every step of the way. His smile remains as contagious as ever, and his outlook on life continues to inspire everyone around him.

This journey has been life-altering for Holton and his family. Through this tournament, we hope to help ease some of the financial burdens associated with his recovery and eventual transition home. We invite you to join us for a day of golf, fellowship, and support. If you're unable to play, sponsorship opportunities are available and greatly appreciated.

These awards represent the dedication, craftsmanship, collaboration, and commitment of our employees, owners, design partners, and subcontractors. We are incredibly grateful to every individual who contributed to the success of these projects. Your hard work made this recognition possible.

We are also proud to have been recognized with an AGC Georgia Safety Excellence Award for achieving a zero incident rate. Safety remains at the core of everything we do, and this accomplishment is a testament to the commitment of every member of our team.
