We redesigned this gravel driveway from a poorly engineered crown-and-ditch layout to a hybrid rolling grade dip system that works with the land to efficiently shed rainwater. 🌧

The old design caused rilling, washed out expensive base material, and triggered serious erosion on and off the roadway — leading to constant maintenance and landscape damage. 🛘

New additions to the fleet! 🕺

The Cat 300.9 mini-ex is a compact, tactical trail building and trail maintenance machine. This will complement our two slightly larger mini-ex units nicely.

The Cat CB1.7 double drum roller is perfect for proper installation of engineered trail surfaces such as decomposed granite or mixed aggregate road base.

We have more additions planned for the trail building arsenal in 2026. Stay tuned!

The Texas A&M Forest Service Mechanical Fuel Reduction grant application is open! Contact us to see how we can help apply and administer this grant for wildfire risk mitigation. We are experienced in submission and ex*****on of work for this program.

Applications are now open for Texas A&M Forest Service wildfire mitigation grants.

These grant opportunities help private landowners and municipalities reduce wildfire risk through fuel reduction practices and prescribed burning.

Eligible applicants may receive financial assistance for projects that:

🌿Reduce hazardous vegetation
🔥Create defensible space around homes and infrastructure
🌲Support prescribed fire as a land management tool

Mechanical Fuel Reduction grants are available in eligible Central Texas counties and multiple prescribed fire grant opportunities are available across the state.

Thanks Texas A&M Forest Service for this important reminder!

One simple way to support tree health is proper mulching. A layer of mulch helps retain moisture, reduce competition from grass and protect trees from damage caused by lawn equipment.

Over time, mulch also breaks down and improves soil conditions around the tree.

Proper care now can help trees stay healthier through the hotter months ahead.
