Dryers are one of the most energy demanding and potentially dangerous appliances in the American household!

Our dryer use cost is around $53 last month. Typical electric dryers use around 6000 watts and NGrid electric rates are currently around $0.22/kwh.

Dyers can also be a fire hazard. The lint building up in the dryer vents can lead to dryer fires. You should clean out your vent pipes about every three months. The bonus to the safety benefit is that our testing has resulted in 26% energy savings from cleaning out dryer vents and ductwork!

25 RMLD Customers to Receive $10,000 to go solar!

Attention Reading Municipal Light Department Customers, RMLD has become a part of the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER) Municipal Light Plant (MLP) Solar Rebate Program. The Reading based municipality, which also includes Lynnfield, North Reading, and Wilmington pledged $250,000 towards this program. This program applies to systems that are 25 kW or less. The rebate $1.20/Watt. This works out to 40% off our current rate and approximately $10,000 worth of rebate from today’s average size system! This means that there is only enough funding for approximately 25 projects. If you have been waiting for the “Right Time to go Solar”, IT’S RIGHT NOW! This offer lasts until June 30, 2020, or until funding runs out.

Hey friends, swimming weather is upon us so be sure to keep your loved ones safe by determining that any Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI's) are functioning correctly. They prevent electrocutions but only work when they are working properly. All GFCI protective devices have a test/reset button. Be sure to test before swimming. My last post in November of 2017 was pretty depressing. 2018 was a tough year without Mike at my side. However, I persevered (shout out to coach Bob N.), and have completed 37 solar projects (268.375 KW) since then in addition to rewiring an Army building at Fort Devans, Generator installs, Resi safety inspections and service, etc. This year we are ready for the next phase of Sustainability, Energy Storage systems.
Focus Electrical Corp. is now an LG CHEM Certified Installer.
our 1st installation is prewired and just waiting for the back-ordered 10 KW LG Chem Battery to arrive.
