Fun fact: The word “surveying” comes from the Latin “super videre” …literally “to see over/beyond.”

Fitting, since our total stations use lasers to measure angles and distances with sub-millimeter accuracy, letting us “see” elevations and boundaries the naked eye never could. 🎯
