If the ground isn’t frozen, you can still plant bulbs for spring flowers!

Here in East TN, I love the Darwin Hybrid tulips because they come back year after year.

We grew the Petra variety of jalepeno and with 4 plants had enough to eat fresh, freeze, pickle, and candy!

You are allowed to start a garden even if you’re overwhelmed and tired. In fact, that’s a great time to start a garden.

It involved a course of classes, lots of volunteer hours and learning about all the amazing resources and research my state does.

Things I think but would never say out loud (as a Master Gardener and mom of 4) :
✨ Do I have to pull that native w**d or can I say it’s for the pollinators?
✨Do I have to make a proper lunch or can the kids survive another hour on garden snacks of cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and peas?
✨My food tastes better than this because I use a ton of garden-fresh herbs.
✨you should plant something there (gestures literally anywhere)

I’ve gotten better decorative pumpkins this way than planting the seeds by hand at the perfect time of spring 😂
