The Solution Provider in Feed & Grain Processing
The New Generation of Design + Build in the Mid Atlantic

10/13/2026

Groff Julius was proud to spend time at Penn State’s Ag Sciences Career Day, where Ean Julius connected with students and shared more about who we are, what we do, and the work behind large scale agricultural facilities.

Ean also had the opportunity to speak at an ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) meeting, discussing the role of engineering, construction, and collaboration in the agricultural industry.

Events like these are a great opportunity to connect with the next generation of agricultural professionals, share the importance of what we do, and continue building relationships throughout the industry.

We appreciate Penn State and ASABE for having us.

We see real value in documenting our journey, sharing our experiences, and showing what it takes to bring these projects to life. It’s an opportunity to learn, reflect, and give our customers and others in the industry a closer look at the work behind every build. We have a couple new films coming soon to our YouTube Channel you won’t want to miss. Stay tuned!

Ground has officially been broken and concrete/foundation work has been underway on a new greenfield to feed mill for Central New York Feeds in Avon, NY!

Underground utilities are being buried, the parking lot and roadway is being expanded, and we’re working on backfilling around the mixing building foundation.

Warehouse construction is well underway with 3/4 of the footers excavated and poured, and half of the walls already up.

More to come as this exciting new project takes shape.

A successful project is built long before the first piece of equipment or steel arrives on site. Listen to Taylor explain how Ag facility projects can go over budget and how to prevent it from happening.

Celebrating 1 year with Groff Julius!

Congratulations to Lane on one year with the GJ team! As a pre construction manager, Lane brings more than seven years of preconstruction experience and a lifelong connection to the agricultural industry to every project.

His focus on collaboration and well coordinated pre construction process helps set the stage for successful projects from the start.

Outside of work, Lane enjoys spending time with his wife and son and tending their farm.

Thanks for everything you bring to the team, Lane. We’re glad to have you at GJ!

Who said the Midwest gets to have all the fun? We design and build impressive agriculture infrastructure from the Mid Atlantic to the East coast. And we’re doing it different.
