This week's transformation is all about preparation.
After removing the existing vegetation, we installed clear plastic to begin the process of solarization—one of our favorite non-chemical methods for preparing a site for future planting.

Solarization works by using the sun's energy to naturally reduce future w**d pressure. The clear plastic acts like a greenhouse, allowing sunlight to warm the soil while trapping heat underneath. As w**d seeds begin to germinate, the increased soil temperatures help destroy many of them, along with certain soil-borne pests and disease pathogens. The result? A cleaner planting area with less competition for new native plants.
🌼 Why go through all this effort?
Because great landscapes aren't created by shortcuts—they're built on thoughtful preparation. Investing time now means healthier plants, fewer w**ds, and a stronger, more resilient landscape in the seasons ahead.

✨ Good News Friday ✨

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?'" — John 11:25–26

Jesus' dear friend Lazarus had died. Mary and Martha had sent word to Jesus while Lazarus was still sick, hoping He would come. But when Jesus arrived, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days.

Both sisters said, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."
In the middle of their grief, Jesus didn't just offer comfort—He revealed who He is.

"I am the resurrection and the life."

What an incredible promise. Jesus holds life in His hands. Those who place their faith in Him are given the gift of eternal life. Death is no longer the end—it becomes the doorway into His presence.

Then Jesus asked Martha a deeply personal question:
"Do you believe this?"

It's the same question He asks each of us today.
Are you searching for peace in the middle of life's fears? Are you carrying grief, uncertainty, or questions about where to turn?

Jesus invites us to believe that He is the Messiah, the Son of God, and the One who offers hope that reaches beyond this life.

Keep reading John 11. Watch how Jesus meets people with compassion, calls them to faith, and never leaves them where He found them.
He called Lazarus out of the tomb and brought him back to life. Through faith in Christ, we too are invited to experience new life—both now and forever.

Our owners, Tony and Mariah, spent some time at the beach this past week.

Have you ever stood at the edge of the ocean and felt so small? The vastness of the waves stretching beyond what your eyes can see has a way of reminding us just how little we are in comparison to God's incredible creation.
The beach often provides a time to reflect on the power and beauty of the ocean, and can remind one, of the God who spoke it all into existence—the sun that warms our skin, the waves that never cease, and even the tiniest organisms that sustain life beneath the surface.
Moments like these remind us of two incredible truths: God is far greater than our minds can comprehend, and yet He deeply loves us.
Out of all He created, God made humanity in His own image. He knows us, loves us, and demonstrated that love by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins so we could be reconciled to Him and have a restored relationship with our Creator.
The same God who holds the oceans in His hands also holds each one of us. What an amazing God we serve.
"The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." — Psalm 19:1
Take a few moments today to look around at creation. Let it point your heart back to the Creator.
