Remember those who gave all....

Memorial Day 2022 is upon us and of all our symbolic holidays, this is the most poignant. The founding of this great nation is only held fast by the sacrifices of outstanding men and women who answered the call, generation after generation. While the platforms and technologies of war are ever changing, the heart of the Warrior remains the same. Trained for danger, fighting for love and consuming unbearable hurt to shield our citizens from the rigors of battle.
While we will always mourn our fallen, especially those we fought beside, we must also pick up the torch and a live life in lieu of sacrifice. We must break the chains of PTSD, isolation, self loathing and ultimately our own demise by our own hands. No matter the pain, we must choose to seek help, choose to confide in loved ones and choose to push forward for those that cannot. I’m not saying it’s easy, but there is life on the other side of service. It’s a life worth fighting for and YOU are worthy of a happy life. Make today the day you raise a toast to our fallen, but also a promise to live to your fullest potential. That’s why we are here, and that’s why we will always have each other’s back and why we need to let someone have our back. If not for ourselves, then for those that we mourn.
