General Laborer / Property Maintenance
DBM Properties LLC is a highly motivated, fast-growing property maintenance and contracting company, and we’re looking to add another dependable person to our team.

💰 Pay:20- 30/hour

Pay will depend on your experience, skill level, reliability, and overall capabilities. If you can walk in and handle jobs independently, your pay will reflect that.

What We Do

One of the best, and sometimes most challenging parts of working with us is that very few days are exactly the same. Our work can include:

• Rental property repairs & turnovers
• Painting & drywall
• Flooring & trim
• Light carpentry
• Doors & windows
• Light plumbing repairs
• Light Electrical Repairs
• Property cleanouts & junk removal
• Exterior repairs
• Excavation/ Tractor Work
• Landscaping/property maintenance
• General handyman work
• And plenty of other projects that come up along the way

If you have a specific trade or skill set that you're great at, we will do our best to primarily keep you working in that area. We want people doing the work they're strongest and most productive at.

CURRENT PRIORITY: GENERAL LABORER
Right now, our biggest need is someone who can jump in wherever needed.

You do not need to know everything. We're much more interested in someone who:

✅ Shows up consistently and on time
✅ Works hard without needing to be babysat
✅ Can follow directions
✅ Is willing to learn
✅ Takes pride in their work
✅ Can use basic hand and power tools
✅ Is comfortable doing physical work
✅ Has a “I may not know how, but I'll figure it out” attitude
✅ Can work efficiently while still producing quality work

Construction, maintenance, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, plumbing, landscaping, equipment operation, or other trade experience is a huge plus and can put you toward the higher end of the pay range.

We are growing quickly and are looking for people who want the opportunity to grow with the company, learn more skills, take on more responsibility, and make more money as their capabilities increase.

This isn't a position for someone looking to stand around and collect a paycheck. We move quickly, stay busy, and take pride in getting the job done right.

Lack of posting doesn't mean lack of work..

Fortunately, its the exact opposite.

Heres a 25' pool pad from today in Hampden. Picture on the left is what I went to check out a few weeks ago, they had rented an excavator and made a solid attempt, but between their availability to use it and skillset behind the controls, they needed some assistance.

The picture on the right is from when i left today. Compacted gravel base, road fabric, and 8 yards of sand will ensure this thing will not settle.

I'll be back tomorrow to do some final touch ups and lawn cleanup.. but I had to leave to pick up the freshly lettered up work van before heading to install two sinks, and shower mixing valve to get a place ready for appraisal.

Some people are in business for one thing, the money.

Money is definitely a requirement to stay ahead, but my motivation has always differed. I like what money can do for my family, friends, and the clients I'm often able to help that other contractors won't touch.

Starting from scratch, and building from the ground up, you have a larger appreciation for those around you that had helped you get where you are.

This is Norman (My Step-Dad)

Norman has over 20 years of Landscaping/ Lawn Care experience, and has led crews the majority of his previous career.

Norman came into my life at probably one of the most important times of a child's development, changing from a kid to a teen, and teen to a man. He taught me the value of hard work, doing whatever it takes to provide for your family, and how important it is to keep a level head no matter what life throws at you.

I tell that short story to give some perspective as to why this photo means so much to me. This is the smile of a man who just realized the kid with no father that he stepped in to raise years ago, just set him up to semi-retire, and the only work he will be doing is something he loves to do.

That being said, we are looking to take on plenty of lawns this year.

This 60° sunny day had me in the mood to go get a New trailer, Top of the line Commercial Mower and W**d Whacker that we selected with the help of Jordan Giroux at Route 2 Sales and Service in Canaan, and a brand new transmission in the rig hauling it.. that means less down time due to equipment failure, allowing us to provide more quality work for our clients.
