💗 Meet Winnie 💗

Winnie is 16 years old and currently in Senior Two. She is the oldest of five children, and from a very young age, she understood what it meant to help provide for her family. At just six years old, Winnie began working to help her mom care for her siblings.

After her parents separated, Winnie’s mother joined a cult and left the children behind. Winnie was then taken in by a relative, where she has continued to navigate circumstances no child should have to face alone.

Despite everything she has been through, Winnie is still working toward her future and her education. ❤️

Winnie is currently waiting for a sponsor through Sarah’s Love. Sponsorship can help provide the support, education, and opportunities she needs to continue growing and pursuing a brighter future.

Yesterday morning found me marveling at the sunrise in the fog. I was like a child who wants her dad to “do it again” and he gives in to the child’s delight.

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” (Zephaniah 3:17)

I finally replaced the old rope on the swings out front…with purple rope, of course. It was a beautiful evening and the cats “helped” with the task. 😜

I finally got to go to Owl’s Lavender Patch to see a fellow lavender grower! We enjoyed comparing notes and I loved seeing her sweet lavender shop and place. 💟
