This is the last month, most of them will shut down for the season. With everything that has gone wrong this year from extreme heat, drought conditions, fast heavy rains, flooding, wild fire smoke it has been completely impossible for some of us small gardeners and farmers around here. How can we beat what mother nature tosses at us??? Simply we cant.. With Fall starting tomorrow September 22nd 7pm hour, we are going to start wrapping up this year sad to say. We lost about $1,000 on tomato plants alone due to the chilly start of the season, we lost almost all of the pepper plants as well. Other vegetable plants and herbs simply didn't want to grow correctly, I personally feel as if it's been a complete disaster this year. Tried to keep what we could in the greenhouse also planted in buckets this year (NO HARVEST FOR SALE). With out growing, planting, selling, and harvest seasons all falling apart on us we basically have nothing. We are thinking about stepping up our game on the house plants atleast! All and all it's been one crap year. Obviously we have to keep pushing forward!!
