In honor of Boss's Day this Friday, we thought we'd settle a very important question here at Reindel Electric… Who's REALLY in charge? 🤣

Chris keeps the crews moving and the jobs getting done. I keep the office running and try to keep all the moving pieces together.

And Duke? 🐾 Well, he normally supervises both of us, takes naps whenever he pleases, and somehow has the least stressful job in the building! 😂

But this week, our ranch dogs Bella and Lobo are visiting the office, and apparently Duke now has a whole management team! 🐶🐶🐶

After careful consideration, I think we all know who's REALLY in charge… and they have a combined 12 paws! 🤣❤️

Happy Boss's Day to all the hardworking bosses out there! Especially those running a family business alongside their other half! ❤️

There’s doing the work… and then there’s giving the office enough information to actually bill for the work. 😂
Somehow, “electrical stuff” doesn’t quite cut it as an invoice description.
And apparently telling me everything from memory while I’m trying to type it is basically the same thing as writing it down. 🤣
🐶 Duke’s documentation isn’t any better—but at least he’s not pretending otherwise.
Anyone else have a coworker who thinks, “I’ll just remember it” is a perfectly good filing system? 😂

👨 Chris: “Can you squeeze in one more service call today?”

👩 Me: “Sure! Where would you like me to put it?”

👨 Chris: “Anywhere.”

👩 Me: “Great. I’ll put it between NO TIME and ABSOLUTELY NO TIME.” 😂

Apparently one of my duties as Business Manager is finding hours in the day that don't actually exist. 🤣

The schedule is full. The phone is ringing. The guys need answers. There are invoices, permits, supply orders and follow-ups waiting…

…and somehow there is always room for just ONE more service call. ⚡😂

🐶 Duke, however, would like everyone to know that his afternoon is wide open. Apparently he's the only one around here who understands work-life balance. 🤣🐾

⚡ Grumpy Electrician & Cheery Wife — Episode #7: The “Quick” Service Call

👨 Chris: “It’s just a quick service call. I’ll be back in an hour.”

👩 Me: “Okay! See you at 4:30.”

Because we all know how a “quick” service call actually goes… 😂

First, he has to stop at the supply house.
Then, since he’s already out, he might as well swing by and check on the job the guys are working on.
Oh—and he needs to meet the inspector at another job.

And somewhere in there, he still has to do the actual quick service call. 🤣

🐶 Meanwhile, Duke and I are back at the office wondering if we should just go ahead and cancel his afternoon.

Around here, “I’ll be back in an hour” is more of a suggestion than an actual timeline. 😂⚡
