How can families keep land intact and thriving for generations?

Join Small Producers Initiative and Texas Agricultural Land Trust (TALT) for an on-farm workshop at W.O. Fischer Ranch, where members of the Fischer family have cared for a shared landscape dating back to the 1850s.

🌾 SPI will introduce the basics of soil health and regenerative agriculture, including how rotational grazing can build healthy, resilient land.

You’ll also hear from TALT about how conservation easements can protect working lands while maintaining private ownership — and from multiple generations of the Fischer family about land ownership, succession, and working together to safeguard their family’s land and history.

🗓️ Friday, November 20
🕘 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
📍 W.O. Fischer Ranch | Fischer, Comal County, Texas
💲 $20 | Lunch included

Space is limited. Register by at the link in bio!

*This is one of two workshops focused in long-term conservation strategies & conservation easements. Our second workshop is with Native Prairies Association of Texas in Hopkins County — see our previous post for more info!

️⏲ Monday Minute - Cultivating Unity at Work

True workplace unity is more than just smooth collaboration; it is an intentional reflection of our faith. When we labor together, our daily interactions become the ultimate testing ground for Christian love and humility.

Practical unity begins when we actively choose to lay down personal egos. We can do this by listening to each other without defense, celebrating each others success, and sharing the daily workload without complaint.

The Apostle Paul provided the perfect blueprint for this mindset in his letter to the Philippians: "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself." — Philippians 2:3

By shifting our focus from self-promotion to lifting up our team, we transform our work into a sanctuary of peace. Let us commit to serving one another daily, proving that our shared faith is stronger than any workplace pressure.

Great dogs are our sidekick, ranch hand, security detail, and ride or die companion who’s always ready to go somewhere, anywhere at the jingle of keys. If they aren’t given a job, they’ll make one up, because surely we need an amazing dirt clod fetcher or lizard chaser. Some of the very best have no impressive pedigree or formal training. And often they find us (and just let us think we found them). Today we remember the greats and thank God for creating these fun and amazing animals.

Happy National Dog Day!

Get aways are extra special when you’re self employed. And in this business especially, they’re often only possible if you either shut everything down while you’re gone, or you have a highly competent, capable and trustworthy team who can keep things rolling.

We’re honored and blessed to say we have the best team ever. Thanks guys!
