Healing in the hug
Healing in the melons

SHE STOOD ON A STAGE AND DID NOTHING, AND THAT WAS THE POINT.

Solange opened a performance piece in an old WWII oil reservoir under Sydney in total silence. No song. No entrance. She was just standing there while the crowd filed in.

Speaking to Harper's Bazaar, she said: "There were moments I just stood there in silence. When people entered the space, they didn't notice that I was there. When they did, they had to adjust to the uncomfortableness of me just existing, not entertaining or delivering or slaying."

Read that again. People got uncomfortable because she wasn't performing for them. A lot of women know that feeling without ever stepping on a stage. At work, at home, in the group chat, you are only easy to be around when you are producing something.

Ladies, when was the last time you let yourself just exist?

Thank you Lord for still speaking to your humble servant in visions in dreams

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time…”

“Certainly has Allah showed to His Messenger the vision in truth…”
