And the progress continues! Five more muralists continue their work for the Small Business Murals Project. Look at them go!

SBMP pairs muralists with small business owners throughout Detroit to create transformative and large-scale murals. This project aims to spur business growth for the participating entrepreneurs and create one-of-a-kind art in Detroit neighborhoods that bring people together.

After celebrating 10 years in 2025, Murals in the Market is taking a short break this year to plan an even bigger festival for our community.

But the walls didn’t stay untouched! In partnership with Michigan DHHS (commissioned by Jerron Totten), artist Camouflage painted a stunning new piece honoring HIV/AIDS advocate Odalys Martin. Tony WHLGN also returned to complete his two-story mural at Marrow in the Market.

We’re also co-producing 10 new murals across the city as part of the Small Business Murals Project, in partnership with the Gilbert Family Foundation.

The full festival returns September 2027, thank you for sticking with us. Stay tuned for new ways to get involved!
